It s a UHF antenna that uses a log periodic dipole array to form a cardioid receiving pattern toward the desired coverage area, achieving greater rejection of RF signals outside the area than standard ½-wave omnidirectional antennas.

  This is a passive device with 6dB of signal gain by virtue of the LPDA design.

  The UA805 can be mounted on a mic stand with the integrated threaded adapter.
